Stoney Island Fisheries (2022) Limited is a Canadian seafood company that specializes in a number of seafood products, supplies, and services.

Our primary product is wild caught, live lobster, guaranteed fresh from the pristine cold waters of the north Atlantic Ocean off southern Nova Scotia, which we ship to various customers in Canada and the United States.

Stoney Island Fisheries also produces ice and frozen gel packs, which are used in the perservation and shipment of food products.  Our ice and frozen gel packs are food grade, Canadian Food Inspection Agency approved and meet the minimum required standards for ice that will come into contact with food.

During its season, and when regulations permit, we also procure Elver Eels, to be shipped to Asian markets for the food industry.  Also known as American Eels or Glass Eels, Elvers are Canada's most valuable fish species by weight.

We also provide cold storage service for companies looking to store frozen bait and other products.

We are a Canadian Food Inspection Agency approved plant and our products are carefully handled and monitored at each step to ensure safety and quality.
LOGISTICS

Working closely with suppliers, transporters and freight forwarders
ensures that your product arrives
on time.  For our ice operation, we
are able to provide delivery service.

lobster capital of Canada, and
with close access to the wharves,
we are able to provide a fresh,
quality live product.

Lobster Eco-Certification Society,

Caught in the cold, clear north atlantic and kept in controlled conditions to ensure vigorous and well-seasoned lobster for shipping.
HIGH QUALITY ICE

We produce high quality-CFIA approved, food grade ice product for residential or commercial use.  Delivery is available.

COLD STORAGE SERVICES

We can meet your freezer storage rental needs for seafood, bait, and other commercial products.
ELVER EELS

Young American eels are harvested in the spring and shipped live to markets under controlled conditions to ensure high survival rate.
